TOPIC: “Why We Record,“
a Thematic Poster Exhibit on Palestine
MEPN’s usual way of presenting information and viewpoints about Palestine today is via our monthly Zoom forums. We seek out speakers who help us learn about and interpret situations in Palestine, Israel, the West Bank, and America. Audience members pose questions to the speaker as time allows.
This summer’s In-Person event will turn that process on its head. You will be an active viewer and immediate interpreter of visual information. Twenty-five very engaging story boards utilize photos, maps, and text to document Palestinian displacement and fragmentation and to make a case for Palestinians’ eventual return to their homeland.
As a member of a small group, you will share observations and questions as you move through the exhibit and afterward in discussion. We promise a unique, stimulating experience that takes full advantage of us being in person and together.
To maximize our time for viewing and discussion, we will enjoy sweet treats and beverages rather than a meal. Please join us!
About the poster exhibit: Conceived and developed by Visualizing Palestine and The American Friends Service Committee, the exhibit was generously loaned to us by Northfielders for Justice in Palestine/Israel.
