TOPIC: From Palestine to Minnesota: Navigating Difficult Conversations and Taking Actions That Can Change and Save Lives

PRESENTERS: Ruben Slomianski, Julie Elhard, and Ariella Tilden

To all who were able to be at our MEPN summer In-Person Event on Saturday, August 2, thank you for attending. We hope the workshop, presented by Ariella Tilsen, Julie Elhard and Ruben Slomiensksi, was productive. Our shared goal with the presenters was that you, the audience, would come away with some concrete tools to navigate the our way through difficult conversations about antisemitism and other issues related to the Gaza war and genocide.  The presenters’ handouts on Reframing Challenging Conversations are available here.

Attendee Survey
Please take a moment to complete this short survey, which is helpful as we search for qualified speakers and event venues.

Recording Available
If you were not able to attend, we have a recording of the event for viewing. Please note that it has been edited, due to the workshop nature of the afternoon.

Film recommendation
Several August 2 attendees highly recommend watching the film “Gaza: Doctors Under Attack” a powerful film the BBC refused to air; it has now been released globally by Zeteo and is free to view. It documents Israel’s destruction of Gaza’s hospitals and the killing of Palestinian doctors.  View the film here.
